Virgin unveils new look

Virgin Atlantic has unveiled a new livery for its fleet of 38 aircraft, which includes a 'subtle' facelift for the iconic, flag-carrying flying lady.

The Virgin Atlantic name, previously only on the front, is now emblazoned across the aircraft.

A new metallic paint has been used, which is more durable so the jets will only require repainting once a decade.

Amongst other changes introduced by design agency Johnson Banks, are red winglets and the Virgin script on the inner side, visible to passengers on board the plane.

In addition, the undercarriage of the aircraft features a new Virgin Atlantic logo in dark purple, making the aircraft more easily identifiable when taking off and landing.
